The small town of Spielburg is the only town in Spielburg Valley and was once a town full of adventurers. A Protection spell was placed over nearly the entire town by the Wizard Erana, although it passed over the Dark Alley. The town prospered due in part to a thriving cider industry, until the Band of Brigands came into the valley and Baba Yaga's Curse was inflicted upon the valley. The town suffered and squandered under these harsh conditions, until Devon Aidendale lifted the curse and drove Baba Yaga away. Tourists came flooding back into the town, making it prosperous once more.
The town is lived in mostly by humans, although the nearby Pferdefedern Centaurs are considered residents although they reside on the Pferdefedern Farm.
The town has several businesses, including the Spielburg Adventurers Guild run by Wolfgang Abenteur, the Spielburg Magic Shop with proprietor Zara Shashina, a Barber Shop, a Bakery, a Butcher Shop, a Dry Goods Store, a Farmer's Mart, and the Aces & Eights Tavern. There is also a Thieves Guild in the town, which does the best it can. During the time that the Katta Shameen and Shema were in the valley, they established the Hero's Tale Inn.
The Sheriff Schultz Meistersson and his assistant Otto von Goon do a good job of keeping the majority of crime at bay.
